Law360 is seeking to hire a senior reporter to cover the business of law, specifically large law firms with national and international reach. This reporter will write regular news analyses and features on the business of law, contextualizing developments among law firms and other entities in the market. The role requires developing a deep beat understanding and a reliable roster of sources. This role can be performed in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City or Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities
Cover the business of law, focusing on large law firms with national and international reach.
Write regular news analyses and features on the business of law and contextualize developments among law firms and other market actors.
Develop a deep understanding of the beat and maintain a reliable roster of sources.
Qualifications
Possess at least two years of full-time, paid reporting experience.
Demonstrated reporting and writing skills.
Experience working a beat.
Preferences
Experience covering the legal industry, including law firms, legal associations and regulators, alternative legal service providers, in-house legal departments, legal technology, litigation funding and judicial issues.
Experience reporting for a legal audience.
Ability and openness to regularly meet with legal industry sources in the local community.
