About The Position

Experience : Minimum of 1 full year Adult Home Health experience is required.

License : Must have a valid license in hand.

Certifications : CPR and BLS certifications required.

Must-Have : Candidates must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and agency-required liability insurance.

Description :

Home visits are required for patient care.

Periodic office meetings will be held.

The average number of patients per day is 5-6.

Each type of visit and activity will have a different point value contributing to a total of 30 points per week.

Contractors will be assigned between 5-10 patients per day, equating to approximately 6-8 points.

If there is a low patient census, contractors should reach out to management to discuss potential floating to a nearby clinic for additional hours.

Types of cases include Start of Care and Follow-Ups.

First-time applicants are not accepted; recent Home Health experience is mandatory.

Weekend requirements vary by location and profession and should be discussed during the interview.

Travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic is required.

Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS standard rate.

Travelers are compensated for travel between patient homes.

The commute to and from the first and last patient is not billable.

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate, and pending licenses will not be accepted unless they are pending for only a few days.

On-call requirements will vary per job / location and should be clarified during the interview.

The candidate will work with EMR systems including HomeCare HomeBase, Oasis, and Outlook.

There are no on-call duties associated with this role.

Candidates must understand this is a Home Health assignment, and they will be responsible for driving to patients' homes daily, as well as attending weekly meetings.

Candidates must confirm they have a vehicle, a driver’s license, and auto insurance.

The mileage radius can extend to 50-75 miles, which may result in drives longer than 20 minutes between patients.

Candidates must be comfortable with this expectation.

All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the appointment with each patient.

Delayed or incomplete documentation that impacts billing and follow-up patient care will negatively affect job performance.

It is important to note that there are no guaranteed hours with this contract.

Contractors must meet weekly productivity goals of 30 points, which equates to 40 hours per week.

All overtime must be pre-approved.

If there are not enough patients each week to meet financial needs, contractors may have the opportunity to float to another nearby clinic for additional patients.
