As a Workday Adaptive Manager, you will lead client engagements, oversee project delivery, and guide a team of consultants to implement best-in-class Adaptive Planning solutions. This role blends hands-on expertise with leadership responsibilities, serving as both a trusted advisor to clients and a mentor to your team. The ideal candidate brings strong financial systems knowledge, proven project leadership, and a passion for delivering scalable, high-impact solutions and developing and maintaining relationships with our software partner sellers.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a practice leader for Workday Adaptive implementations, maintaining deep expertise in the software and staying current with new features, releases, and best practices.
- Oversee multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timelines while maintaining high client satisfaction.
- Manage, mentor, and develop consulting staff, providing coaching, performance feedback, and fostering career growth within the team.
- Translate complex client requirements into scalable solutions, guiding teams to design and implement best-in-class Adaptive Planning processes and configurations.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Client Managers to scope engagements, draft change orders, and manage client expectations.
- Act as an escalation point for clients and project teams, resolving challenges and ensuring alignment with client business goals.
- Lead client-facing executive updates, including project health checks, roadmap planning, and strategic recommendations.
- Drive operational excellence by developing new processes, tools, templates, and best practices for Adaptive delivery across the firm.
- Support Managed Services clients with complex escalations, release reviews, and technical health checks, providing thought leadership and expert guidance.
- Represent Armanino in client workshops, steering committees, and Armanino Academy training courses, strengthening client partnerships.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.58 years of consulting, advisory, or financial systems experience, including 3+ years of hands-on Workday Adaptive Planning implementations.Proven experience delivering at least 5 end-to-end Adaptive Planning implementations across multiple industries.Workday Adaptive Planning First certification required; additional Workday or CPM / EPM certifications (e.g., Anaplan, NetSuite, Planful) preferred.Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional teams of consultants.Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements, prioritize effectively, and meet or exceed project profitability targets.Excellent facilitation and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and guide strategic financial transformations.Analytical mindset with strong quantitative skillsable to analyze data, model financial impacts, and communicate insights clearly.Willingness to travel up to 20% for client and Armanino business needs.Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, collaborating in person approximately half the time.
