Responsibilities Work in an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) unit within a hospital birthing pavilion Unit features 21 rooms, a 2-bed triage area, and 2 operating rooms Handles approximately 1300 deliveries per year Nurse to patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines : 1 : 1 for Pitocin / active labor and intermittent monitoring, 1 : 2 for cervical ripening / high-risk meds, 1 : 3 for Antepartum and Postpartum couplets Day and night rotating shifts, 36 hours per week Facility operates as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center No local candidates accepted; must reside outside a 75-mile radius Nurses are expected to care for labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum patients Unit follows evidence-based staffing guidelines for optimal patient care Requirements Active RN license required and must remain current throughout the assignment BLS certification required Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in a Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma setting Competency in all aspects of the LDRP care model Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-602893.
