SUMMARY OF POSITION :

Under the direction of the Laser Supervisor, the Brake Press Operator operates manual brake presses and punch presses to form and bend a variety of materials. Responsible for part quality and efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Operate brake press and punch press to form, bend and punch a variety of work
• Work from drawings, specifications, patterns, or templates
• Use scale, protractor, fixed angle and radii gauges
• Sorting and packaging parts
• Verify quantity & quality of material
• Empty scrap luggars and performs miscellaneous tasks as required
• Operates overhead crane while moving product
• Complete & maintain all required paperwork
• Responsible for strict adherence to all company / departmental policies and procedures related to safety and conduct rules and other regulations
• Maintains a safe & clean work environment & departmental housekeeping standards
• Other duties as assigned or required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required talk or hear and may occasionally sit; regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
