About The Position

Job Title : Echo Tech

Profession : Radiology / Cardiology

Specialty : Cardiac Sonographer

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day 4x10-Hour

Hours per Shift : 10 hours

Experience : Minimum of 3 years required

License : Must have a state license in hand

Certifications : ARDMS, CCI, RDCS (either specialty certification accepted)

Must-Have :

• Required work setting experience in Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ER, and ICU.
• Required adult echo skills, including 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Imaging with Contrast Agents, M-Mode, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, Portable Studies, Routine, and Treadmill Stress Echo.
• Experience with Philips machines preferred.
• Required professional knowledge and skills in isolation precautions.
• Cerner experience preferred.

Description :

The position requires performing echocardiograms in various settings.

Shifts are from 07 : 00 to 17 : 30 for 10-hour shifts.

On-call requirements include 4-5 call shifts per 6-week schedule.

This includes one weekend day of call per 6 weeks.

Candidates need to have demonstrated proficiency in adult echo skills such as 3-D Echo and Treadmill Stress Echo.

Experience in adult acute care settings is essential.

Floating may be required within the facility to meet patient care needs.

Weekend coverage may also be required depending on the schedule.

Candidates should be open to block scheduling but understand it may not always be possible.

Compliance with health and safety protocols is mandatory.

The facility is a Magnet hospital and a Level I trauma center.

Daily patient census ranges from 30 to 50 patients.

Interdisciplinary support teams are available, including IV Teams and Physical Therapy.

The environment emphasizes the importance of teamwork and collaborative patient care.
