Responsibilities Work in a 19-bed Pediatric ICU at a hospital setting Float to Pediatrics and NICU as needed based on assignment and skill set Patient ratio is typically 1 : 2 or higher, depending on acuity and census Use Medtronic pacemakers and telemetry monitoring regularly Care for patients requiring BIPAP / CPAP, ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomies EPIC is the charting system used and experience is required Day shifts, 3x12 hours, from 7 : 00 to 19 : 30 Work every other weekend (Saturday / Sunday) Locals are accepted at the same rate Provide specialized care to critically ill pediatric patients, including those with complex cardiac needs Float to other pediatric units or NICU as directed by hospital staffing needs Follow the Navy Blue scrub color policy Complete all required background and license screenings prior to assignment Holiday coverage may be required as part of the schedule Requirements Active NJ or Compact RN license required at the time of consideration At least 2 years of recent PICU critical care experience required, with at least 1 year of documented cardiac experience strongly preferred Current BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP certification preferred Experience with Medtronic pacemakers and telemetry monitoring required Proficiency in care for patients on BIPAP / CPAP, vents, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomies Epic charting system experience required Applicants must not be current or recent employees (within last year) of the RWJBH health system First time travelers are not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626254.
