Surgical Environmental Technician
The Surgical Environmental Technician is responsible for working under general supervision in the cleaning and terminalization of the out-patient cubicles, surgical suites, endoscopy suites, cesarean section suite and recovery room areas. Other areas include but are not limited to : offices, locker rooms, lounges, conference rooms, hallways, and any other place in the perioperative arena according to strict standards of sanitation. These staff members are trained according to the Association of Peri-Operative Registered Nurses, AORN, standards and recommendations for environmental sanitation in the perioperative setting. EDUCATION : GED or High School Diploma preferred.
