Who We're Searching For :

If you're skilled at supporting production by setting up, troubleshooting, and operating robotic welding cells, and you love implementing leading practices, this opportunity is for you.

Your Role :

Strictly adhere to safety protocols while handling equipment

Guide and support trainee weld technicians

Perform equipment cleaning tasks

Be adept at using hand measurement tools

Utilize a multimeter efficiently

Carry out weld tip / cap replacements and maintenance of weld guns

Execute changeovers of stationary welders and automated cells

Conduct preventive maintenance on fixtures and cells, ensuring proper lubrication

Run the Red Rabbit process and address any failures by adjusting sensors or switches accordingly

Understand weld fixture adjustments

Identify and replace common sensors and set them up correctly

Troubleshoot welding technology, including resistance spot welding and GMAW components

Utilize the Plex system for documentation and locating parts

Apply basic welding knowledge, including resistance, projection, and GMAW welding techniques

Manage dispense systems, ensuring proper operation and component replacement

Operate and adjust nut feeders, inspecting for alignment and clearing jams

Reset robotics within cell operations

Adjust robotic programmed points as needed

  • Proficient with Microsoft applications like Word, Excel, and Outlook

Complete a Weld Technician curriculum with a pass

Finish a Weld Technician trainee period for internal candidates

Trainees must achieve goals set during their probationary period

Exhibit high performance standards, taking accountability for actions

Resolve conflicts positively, maintaining constructive relationships

Use feedback for performance improvement

Support plant flow by being adaptable and responsive

Stay informed about changing processes and adapt openly

Build a positive, collaborative work environment

Communicate vital information to the next shift

Maintain a punctual work schedule

Schedule and Location Preferences :

This role is for a 3rd shift, 7 : 30 PM- 6AM from Monday to Thursday, with occasional Fridays, based in Cusseta, AL. Flexible training availability on 1st shift is required.

Required Qualifications :

  • Over 18 years of age
  • Physical capability to stand for long durations, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Pass pre-offer Auto Tech I and II assessments, and obtain a qualification card within six months to a year
