Lube / Fleet Technician – Monarch Truck Center

Come join our team and we will help you build your future. We have been servicing the Bay Area for 45 years offering a great work environment. Looking for Medium-Duty Truck Rental Fleet Technician.

Position Summary

The Monarch Truck Rental Fleet Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance jobs on company rental and lease fleet vehicles. Vehicles include diesel and gas medium-duty Isuzu and Hino branded trucks, as well as various makes of smaller cargo vans and pickup trucks. The technician is responsible for preventative maintenance including :

• Inspections
• Oil and fluid changes
• Chassis lubrication
• Batteries
• Brakes
• Other repairs and maintenance jobs as assigned

Technicians will train under the Senior Fleet Technician in the shop. Fleet technicians are also expected to start taking manufacturer (Isuzu, Hino, Cummins, Allison) training modules to achieve certifications. In time technicians will be expected to learn how to perform diagnostics and other more involved repair jobs to be promoted to Diesel Technicians and transfer over to the Service Department where they will perform retail service work on customer vehicles.

The technician is expected to have their own basic tools, while the shop will provide any specialty tools or equipment needed to service the vehicles.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have previous experience performing fleet preventative maintenance on diesel and gas powered trucks or similar commercial vehicles. Candidates are expected to have their own basic tools, while the shop will provide any specialty tools or equipment needed to service the vehicles.

IMPORTANT : The position requires a valid CALIFORNIA DRIVERS LICENSE with a CLEAN DMV RECORD. We do perform DRUG TESTS, and CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS on all potential employees. Individuals must also be able to legally work in the USA.
