Travel Nursing Job Details Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (ER RN) Location : Schenectady, NY 12308 (New York nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Emergency Department (ED) Start Date : November 18, 2025 End Date : February 14, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00pm – 7 : 30am, 30-minute unpaid break) Hours per Week : 36 Schedule : Every other weekend required; no call; no self-scheduling; floating to ED Observation Unit as needed Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990–$2130 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active New York State RN license or eligibility (required for all New York healthcare jobs) Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience (2 years preferred) BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross) required TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications preferred Prior travel nursing experience preferred Ability to float to units within competency Recent Nursys verification ER RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients in a fast-paced ED Perform drips, infusions, phlebotomy, IV starts, EKGs, medication administration, and patient transports Care for a diverse range of patients : medical, surgical, pediatric, psychiatric, and trauma cases Float to the ED Observation Unit as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mental health technicians, crisis workers, and physicians Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR Comply with hospital policies, dress code, and infection control standards Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
