About The Position

Must-Have :

• Experience with open heart surgery, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, trauma, and overflow medical cases.
• Familiarity with charting in Cerner.
• Ability to float to MICU, SICU, and other medical units with a maximum of 4 patients.

Description :

This position involves providing critical nursing care in a cardiac intensive care unit.

Nurse to patient ratios vary from 1 : 1, 2 : 1, to 3 : 1, ensuring high-quality attention to each patient.

Essential procedures include managing chest tubes, swan ganz catheters, temporary pacemakers, and central lines.

Nurses are expected to follow protocols and care standards for patients recovering from complex surgeries.

This role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Rotating weekend shifts will be part of the schedule.

Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Navy blue scrubs are the designated uniform for this position.
