Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Coordinator. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for providing moderate to advanced range of coordination of Research studies conducted at the Medical Center, assists with the recruitment, enrollment, grant submissions, research data collection and study coordination activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Human Subjects Research - As applicable, oversee the submission of necessary documents required by the NYU Institutional Board (IRB), NYU Office of Clinical Trials and any other appropriate parties in order to obtain approval to conduct human subjects research.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
• Decision Making and Problems Solving Combines and evaluates information and data to make decisions about relative importance of information and choosing the best solution to solve problems.
• Budget - When needed, develops a preliminary draft budget and submit to the Director / Principal Investigator.
• Collects and organizes required regulatory paperwork for submission to the Pre Award manager if applicable.
• Reporting and Analysis - Researches, compiles and consolidates data and conducts preliminary analyzes to data collected for presentation to sponsoring and regulatory agencies.
• Continuous Learning - Position requires ongoing continuing education in all areas of research development.
• Clinical Competency - competency in handling, storing and shipping of specimens.
• Recruitment - Screens potential patients / subjects for eligibility to the study.
• Process IRB submission with the Principal Investigator : Protocol development of inclusion / exclusion criteria, completed informed consent, documentation of the event and the patient / subject willingness to participate in the study.
• Data Management Responsible for collecting and auditing patient information for the research project(s).

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in life sciences, allied health or equivalent in a related discipline and 0-1 years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field. Minimum of two years of progressively responsible project coordination experience, preferably in a research setting.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,350.00 - $74,200.00 Annually.
