What will the Senior Systems Engineer do?
Monitor, install, and upgrade infrastructure systems including Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, and Palo Alto SD-WAN
Optimize server, storage, and network resources to ensure high availability and performance
Troubleshoot issues across physical and virtual environments, responding to tickets and alerts
Research and integrate new technologies to support networking and operations
Interface with vendors and ensure proper documentation and change management
Participate in project work, including system migrations and organizational integrations
Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders across departments to support business needs
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and documentation protocols
What the company needs in a Senior Systems Engineer :
5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or systems administration
Strong background in financial institution environments (credit union or retail banking preferred)
Advanced skills in Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, Azure / AWS, Cisco Networks, and scripting
Certifications preferred : VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to "talk up or down" across technical and non-technical teams
Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical initiatives
Bonus Points :
Experience in regulated environments with sensitivity to documentation and InfoSec
Familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) and core function modeling
Prior exposure to loan origination systems or credit union architecture
Comfort working in a lean, high-impact team with direct access to executives
