Job Title : Maintenance Supervisor – 1st Shift

Location : Fort Atkinson, WI

Schedule : 1st Shift

Compensation : Up to $100,000+ annually

Job Overview

A well-established food manufacturing company in Fort Atkinson, WI is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a full-time, 1st shift position. This leadership role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong background in food manufacturing maintenance , mechanical systems, and team supervision. The right candidate will bring initiative, critical thinking, and a proactive approach to process improvement and equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance mechanics and technicians
Oversee daily maintenance operations with a focus on equipment reliability and uptime
Enforce and maintain safety protocols and regulatory compliance
Support equipment installation, upgrades, and layout planning
Lead efforts to maintain and enhance facility infrastructure and utilities
Ensure compliance with sanitary design principles and food safety requirements
Assist in managing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Contribute to Process Safety Management (PSM) programs and serve as an active HAZMAT team member
Complete assigned special projects on time and within scope
Work extended hours and weekends as needed to meet production and maintenance demands

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field OR minimum 5 years of maintenance leadership experience

Proven experience in food manufacturing environments

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Understanding of safety protocols and regulatory standards

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CMMS systems and preventative maintenance programs

Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM)

Supervisory experience in union and non-union settings

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and reach above shoulders

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Manual and visual dexterity to operate equipment and tools

Exposure to hot, cold, damp, and noisy environments
