Cullman Properties Facilities Manager, Position Summary
The Cullman Properties Facilities Manager provides hands-on labor on all projects, repairs, system emergencies, landscaping, and scheduled maintenance of facilities and grounds, primarily on The Foundry Farm campus. The Manager also coordinates maintenance services with Directors at all Foundry properties as required.
The Cullman Properties Facilities Manager must hold to The Foundry's mission, vision, and core values. The Manager must be willing to sign The Foundry's Statement of Faith. The Manager reports directly to the Director of The Foundry Farm and the Director of Facilities and upholds the policies the Board of Directors sets forth. The Manager's responsibilities include the duties defined in this responsibility description.
Responsibility Description
Facilities - The Foundry Farm and The Foundry Thrift Store - Cullman :
- Collaborate with the Directors to ensure the facilities are always "Tour-Ready" at all Cullman properties.
- Perform unskilled and routine semi-skilled work independently as requested.
- Oversee, coach, and instruct program participants in performing tasks and assignments.
- Provide excellent service at all times.
- Build vendor trust and maintain positive relationships with outside contractors and other support personnel.
- Assist with and make minor repairs to landscaping equipment, power tools, hand tools, and electrical extension cords.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Director to manage daily maintenance requests, including repairs to buildings and other structures, carpentry, special projects, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC service needs, and landscaping
- Collaborate with the Farm Director on poultry production and all agricultural responsibilities.
- Follow up on all work requests initiated by Directors.
- Maintain consistent communication with the Directors; immediately report complex and complicated problems for guidance and direction.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and knowledge of essential maintenance, construction, painting, gardening, poultry production, and landscaping techniques.
- Operate and service equipment as required.
- Responsible for opening and closing facilities as requested, including setting alarms and securing equipment and facilities.
- Transport program participants and materials to and from work sites.
- Research additional information regarding challenging work orders.
- Display willingness to be flexible with work schedule to accommodate special requests and emergencies.
- Perform strenuous physical activity in all types of weather conditions.
- Read and interpret blueprints; follow directions in assembling equipment; calculate materials and labor costs.
- Always follow safety guidelines and provide ongoing safety training for program participants.
Employment Readiness :
Collaborate with the Directors to provide instruction regarding project organization, cleaning up after each task, proper care and storage for tools and equipment, and always practicing safety measures.Provide workforce training to participants in soft skills and technical skills when applicable.Ensure that the program participants consistently provide exemplary service and are trained in safety guidelines.Communicate with the Farm's Program staff on issues and concerns.Evaluate program participants per program guidelines and participate in weekly phase meetings as requested.Submit program participant G.R.O.W. forms as needed.Maintain program participant confidentiality at all times.Qualifications and Requirements :

High School Diploma, High School Equivalency Certificate, or GEDOSHA Certification is a plusExperience :
Mechanical aptitude or any combination of experience, education, and training that would provide the required knowledge and ability.Requirements :
