Batch Maker & Packaging Operator (2nd Shift)

Crafco, Inc. is seeking a Batch Maker & Packaging Line Operator on 2nd shift at our manufacturing plant in Dekalb, IL.

The Mix / Batch Maker & Packaging Line Operator is responsible for the batching, measuring, and mixing of materials, as well as the proper operation of the manufacturing equipment on the packaging line. They are responsible for ensuring Crafco products are produced to the guidelines set by production control and / or materials engineering to meet specification conformance. We are hiring for 2nd shift, hours are approximately 3 : 00pm - 11 : 30pm with overtime available.

Specific Duties include :

• Mix various components of the product per batch form following all instructions as detailed by sealant engineering.
• Verify all weights and measurements to ensure accuracy.
• Responsible for the efficient mixing and operation of the equipment to ensure proper batching times.
• Correctly complete production batch forms.
• Maintain work area in a clean orderly fashion informing supervisor of any equipment problems.
• Train others working in sealer manufacturing, as needed.
• Perform assigned duties in a safe, professional manner, cooperating with other departments, and inform the supervisor of any items which will affect quality, safety, schedule, attitude or performance of assigned duties.
• Responsible for the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of paperwork, as required.
• Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor including operating forklifts once trained & certified.
• Must be willing to work overtime and various shifts when needed.
