What you'll do… This position will be responsible for handling the day to day functions related to the successful processing of dental insurance claims. This position is responsible for processing payments to accounts according to company policies. The role will complete all phases of Claims Processing training and will be required to meet set deadlines and departmental standards of accuracy. This position is located at the GEDC Practice Support Center in Southfield, MI and would require an on-site presence 5 days per week. What you'll bring to the team… Post fundamental payer payments as assigned Follow denial protocols and procedures to correct or adjust claims Communicate clearly and concisely via telephone or email Assist with departmental admin duties Post patient payments to accounts Other tasks as requested by direct Manager What we require you have… High school diploma or GED Experience in medical billing systems a plus Understanding of Medicare / Medicaid laws, managed care, and commercial health insurance a plus Must possess high degree of professionalism and adaptability 10-Key & Alpha Numeric Data Entry with speed and accuracy Effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skill in presenting findings and recommendations Proficient in the use of end-user computer applications regarding productivity (MS Word, Excel, Outlook), Windows file management, database, electronic health / medical records and patient billing and other medical information systems Team Player High level of detail orientation and organizational skills Basic math and analytical abilities Ability to work independently and professionally in a high volume environment Ability to maintain confidentiality Must have predictable and consistent attendance About GEDC… Since 1982, Great Expressions has been at the forefront of dental innovation, setting the standard for exceptional care and unforgettable patient experiences.
