About The Role

As a Lead Engineer, you will provide leadership and senior-level engineering / technical expertise on complex electric transmission design projects for high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) overhead utility systems.

Main responsibilities include ensuring project quality and deadlines, engaging team members, and guiding technical tasks such as line routing, survey coordination, PLS-CADD modeling, structure and foundation design, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of engineers, technicians, and drafters
  • Communicate clear expectations, goals, and vision
  • Manage team performance and delegate project work
  • Motivate, coach, and mentor team members
  • Manage projects, ensure quality, and on-time delivery
  • Review and approve engineering design submittals
  • Develop lasting client relationships
  • Estimate projects and develop proposals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • 10+ years of related transmission line engineering experience
  • Extensive experience using PLS-CADD
  • Knowledge of design codes and standards (NESC, IEEE, ASCE, ACI)
  • Experience liaising with various stakeholders
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Ability to work safely and obey safety regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to pass drug screen, background check, and have a valid driving record
