Security Guard Telecom Patrols

As a Security Guard Telecom Patrols in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech and media environment. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence and conducting thorough patrols throughout the location. Your role will also involve providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to staff and visitors. Pay Rate : $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Thur 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Fri 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sat 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sun 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter potential issues, with working environments and conditions that may vary depending on the location.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and promptly report any security-related concerns or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with on-site staff and visitors to address questions and provide guidance related to security-related matters.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of patrols, incidents, and any significant observations during assigned shifts.

  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control systems and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
