Assignment Type : Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse

Lynchburg, Virginia 24501 (Central Virginia healthcare jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Hospital Operating Room (OR)

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 8-hour day shifts (6 : 45am – 3 : 15pm), with evening, night, and weekend call (max 3 call shifts / week; max 3 weekends / 6-week schedule)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state (Virginia nursing jobs)

Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience

Prior travel nursing experience required

Experience with Vascular, Neuro, and da Vinci robotic surgical procedures

Cerner EMR experience preferred

All requested time off must be submitted with application

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care during surgical procedures

Scrub and circulate for a variety of cases, including vascular, neuro, and robotic surgeries

Participate in call rotation (evenings, nights, weekends) as scheduled

Precept and mentor orientees, students, and new hires to foster a culture of learning

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
