About the Job

As an Information Security Analyst , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems and data. In this position, you will actively monitor and assess Umbra's cybersecurity environment, conduct vulnerability assessments, and enhance our security policies to protect against potential threats. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices and promote a culture of security awareness within the organization. Our aim is to hire this position to work in either our Santa Barbara / Goleta, CA office or Arlington, VA office.

Key Responsibilities

• Under the oversight of the Corporate Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), conduct risk and vulnerability assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to protect sensitive information systems and data.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of current security tools and technologies, making recommendations for improvement.
• Assist in developing and implementing security policies and procedures to reduce risk and enhance overall security posture.
• Provide training and awareness programs to staff to promote security best practices across the organization.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure security is integrated into system design and architecture.
• Maintain and update security documentation, including incident response plans, security policies, and procedures.
• Implement security tools and technologies to enhance monitoring, detection, and incident response capabilities.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, providing recommendations for improvements as needed.
• Other professional duties as assigned.

Pay Transparency

This job posting may cover multiple career levels. To ensure greater transparency, we provide base salary ranges for all roles, regardless of location. Our standard pay ranges are based on the role’s function and level, benchmarked against similar growth-stage companies. Compensation may vary based on geographical location, as certain regions may have different cost-of-living factors. The final offer will also be influenced by the candidate's skills, responsibilities, and relevant experience.

Compensation Range

The Compensation Range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000 DOE.
