Overview :
Under the supervision of the communications manager, the content specialist is responsible for providing support to the marketing department and to Peddler's Village operations by creatively and administratively contributing to content creation for social media, email, and other marketing initiatives. Additional responsibilities will include metrics reporting and analysis as well as general support for marketing operations.
This is an 20-hour / week position open to students or graduates.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support short-term and long-term marketing objectives by collaborating with the communications manager on social media strategy and content production for all operations and brands : Peddler's Village, Golden Plough Inn, Giggleberry Fair, Cock 'n Bull, Hart's Tavern, Peddler's Pub, Red Fox Lounge, Buttonwood Grill, and Earl's New American
- Regularly post and engage with followers on all active social media channels (currently 23 individual accounts), including Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and others
- Support the marketing department on all marketing-related activities, including social media, the development and implementation of promotional materials, website and blog content, eblasts, advertisements, media lists, photography, and videography
- Create, manage and monitor activity on ads on social media channels
- Upload events to various external online calendars as required (Visit Bucks County, Visit Philly, VisitPA, Philly Fun Guide, Bucks County Alive, METRO, Philly Gay News, Patch, Delaware River Towns, etc.)
- Maintain publicity log
- Support festival initiatives and operations as required
- Participate in regular / weekly meetings related to marketing
- Create copy for and / or review, copyedit, and proof marketing materials to ensure accuracy and consistency
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree (or the pursuit of one) in marketing, communications, or related field, or equivalent experienceExcellent writing and communications skills, with exceptionally strong attention to detail and proofreadingPhotography skills, including photography / video editing and productionExperience in representing businesses / organizations on Facebook, Instagram, and other social media channelsAbility to adapt communication style and tone of voice to effectively represent Peddler's Village and its operationsUnderstanding of copyright laws and commitment to securing permissions before sharing material not owned by Peddler's VillageFamiliarity with social media analytics analysis and reportingAbility to work independently as well as with a variety of teams and effectively handle multiple projects with a constant eye on deadlines and budgetsCapacity to interact with colleagues, merchants, and Peddler's Village guests in a polished, professional mannerStrong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookExperience with MailChimp, Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, and / or other similar programsRequirements :
