The Commercial Lines Department Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Commercial Lines team, ensuring outstanding client service, workflow efficiency, staff development, and adherence to industry best practices. This is a strategic leadership role for someone passionate about team building, operational excellence, and client satisfaction.

This is a full-time hybrid position that reports to our office in Enfield, CT or Kingston, NY. Travel to other nearby offices may also be required.

Professional Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support the Commercial Lines Account Managers
• Handling and managing a small book of Commercial Lines Insurance
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and policy accuracy
• Develop and implement department goals, procedures, and performance metrics
• Conduct regular audits of accounts for quality control and compliance
• Serve as an escalation point for complex client issues or carrier negotiations
• Stay current on industry trends, carrier appetites, products, and regulations
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment and manage performance evaluations
• Collaborate with leadership on growth strategies, staffing, and technology improvements
• Assist in onboarding and training new team members
