Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift telemetry float pool position requiring AZ or compact RN licensure and prior telemetry experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital float pool covering medical-surgical and telemetry units
  • Floats between multiple facilities and departments as needed
  • Night shift schedule from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Required to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
  • Typical patient ratio is 6 : 1
  • Responsible for shift accountability, utilizing nursing process and critical thinking to provide safe patient care
  • Must maintain clinical competencies and delegate care appropriately
  • First-time travelers will be considered if all requirements are met
  • Requests for time off must be less than one week

  • Active AZ or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • At least 2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience required
  • No employment as permanent staff at any Community Health Systems facility within the past 2 years
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
