Job Title : Oracle DBA with AWS Expertise

Location : Westlake, TX - Hybrid

Type : Contract – Long term

Experience : 10 to 15 years preferred

Visa : Any

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage Oracle databases on AWS RDS and EC2.
  • Perform database schema design, optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Handle backup, recovery, patching, and security of Oracle DBs.
  • Work with AWS-native services (RDS, DMS, CloudWatch, IAM) for database operations and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and application teams for integration and support.
  • Support database migration and modernization initiatives.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong experience with Oracle DB administration (11g, 12c, 19c).
  • Hands-on with AWS RDS (Oracle), Database Migration Service (DMS), and Schema conversion tools.
  • Expertise in database design, scripting (PL / SQL), and performance tuning.
  • Good understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and data security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with automated infrastructure and CI / CD integration for DB management.

    • Certifications Required

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional (Mandatory)

    • Nice to Have

  • Experience with other AWS database services (e.g., Aurora, DynamoDB).
  • Exposure to multi-region deployments or hybrid cloud DB strategies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins) for DB provisioning.
