Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Transitional Care RN for a remote, day shift assignment requiring MD or compact RN licensure and experience in acute or transitional care.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work remotely in a Transitional Care Unit (TCU) setting
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM
  • Patient ratio is 1 : 12, adult patient population
  • No call or floating required
  • Must be onsite for initial orientation and training
  • Uses Cerner EMR with prior Cerner experience required
  • Contract runs for approximately 13 weeks
  • Responsible for following patients from inpatient care into the community and providing education
  • Strong time management and patient teaching skills are essential
  • Team-based work environment with collaboration
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
  • Employees returning to this health system must have a one-year gap since prior employment
  • Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted at a different rate
  • No more than 7 days of requested time off per contract is preferred, and no time off is permitted in the first two weeks
  • Must wear dress code or scrubs as per assignment requirements

  • Active MD or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Three to five years of recent acute hospital experience required
  • Experience in transitional care, critical care, or inpatient care is required
  • Current clinical experience working with adult patients required
  • Ability to complete orientation modules before and during onboarding
  • Flu vaccination is required
  • Two supervisor references required
  • Must be able to attend onsite orientation
