Role Overview
The L2 Team Systems Analyst provides second-level support and light systems administration for local and regional environments—owning escalations from L1, partnering with L3, and leading small projects that keep infrastructure and endpoints running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver courteous, timely support to end users; log and track all work in the ticketing systemAdminister and troubleshoot local infrastructure : hypervisors, switches, routers / firewalls, backup serversSupport endpoint hardware / software using best practices; collaborate with peers / management on complex issuesConfigure and deploy laptops, desktops, peripherals, and standard software imagesServe as escalation point for L1 and as a de-escalation bridge to L3Act as technical lead on select local / regional initiatives and acquisitionsParticipate daily in the L2 support queue and contribute to knowledge articles / runbooksQualifications & Experience
1–5 years in an end-user facing technical support or systems / admin roleExperience supporting distributed / remote users preferredAssociate degree in a computer-related field; bachelor’s preferred (relevant certs considered)Comfortable with core infra concepts : virtualization, switching, routing / firewalls, backupsStrong troubleshooting, documentation, and ticket hygiene; clear written and verbal communicationTeam-oriented, coachable, and proactive about asking for help when neededAble to support users with varied skill levels, work independently or on a project team, make sound decisions under pressure, and spot trends to recommend preventive improvementsRelevant certifications a plus (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco)
