Position Overview
The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences is seeking applicants for a full-time clinical or clinician-scientist faculty position. The successful candidate will be responsible for patient care, research, and education, primarily in our new OSU multi-specialty medical office buildings and surgical suites in the metro Columbus area. Participation in coverage at Columbus, VA, is also required.

We have over 40 faculty and a strong support staff. The Havener Eye Institute has its primary location in the Eye and Ear Institute building near campus. We have newly constructed state-of-the-art facilities that include on-site outpatient surgical centers. We strive to provide the highest quality of care for our patients with the latest surgical equipment and instrumentation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Requirements
Applicants must be board-eligible or board-certified in Ophthalmology by the time of appointment and be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio. Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and have completed an approved residency in Ophthalmology. Subspecialty training in a Reina fellowship is required. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience. Knowledge and proficiency in medical and surgical management in the subspecialty. Demonstrated interest in scholarship and discovery by evidence of basic and / or clinical research and publications. Commitment to resident, fellow, and medical student education is required.
