American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience in cath lab, IR, and neuro procedures for a busy Level II trauma acute care setting.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care hospital with a Level II trauma designationUnit covers Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, and Neuro suitesFour procedure suites with an average of 1200 cases annuallyCaseload includes trauma, neuro, STEMI, interventional and diagnostic cath, pacemaker and device implants, EP studies and ablations, IR central line and port placements, and neuro interventions such as aneurysm coiling and thrombectomiesUses Cerner EMR and GE Spacelabs telemetryDay shifts are 10 hours with variable scheduling and callCall is required every other weekend from end of shift Friday through Monday morning and 14-15 weekday call shifts per 4 week periodNo floating requiredPrimary duties include scrubbing and circulating a variety of cardiovascular, neuro, and interventional radiology casesScrubs are providedTeam structure includes charge nurse and dedicated cath lab and IR technologistsPharmacy and respiratory therapy are available 24 / 7Holiday call coverage required based on unit needsOne shift of unit-specific orientation providedTravel experience is preferredNot open to candidates who have worked at a CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year as direct employees\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 2 years of experience in cath lab, IR, and neuro proceduresCurrent ARRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferredActive state or compact licensure required at the time of consideration (license required if applicable)Experience with EP preferredAbility to work with adult trauma and neuro patientsDocumented references from a supervisor within the last 12 months and a peer or supervisor within the last 3 yearsCopy of valid driver’s license required\n Benefits\n
