TikTok is hiring : Site Reliability Engineer - Video Platform - (Entry Level)- US

Overview Site Reliability Engineer - Video Platform (Entry Level) – USDS. TikTok video system is a world-leading platform for multimedia storage, delivery, and transcoding. The USDS Video Platform team builds the next generation video processing platform to support billions of users globally.

Hybrid work schedule : 3 days in the office per week (or as directed by management). Schedule may change over time.

Responsibilities Ensure overall reliability of TikTok's video system, including video publishing and distribution.

Lifecycle management of production systems : change management, service deployment, operations, and incident response.

Monitor the system and respond to incidents to meet SLAs; review and follow up on production incidents.

Perform capacity management of compute, storage, and network bandwidth to maintain stability and control costs.

Provide strong support during large events to handle high volumes of traffic.

Build tools, automations, visualizations, and monitors to operate and optimize global infrastructure.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.

Programming experience in at least one of : C, C++, Java, Python, C#, or Go.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of networking, operating systems, databases, and container technology.

Understanding of microservice architecture and troubleshooting in large-scale distributed systems.

Experience with open-source systems such as Linux, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and ELK.

Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus.

Strong teamwork, motivation, and collaboration skills.
