Base Pay Range : $32.82 - $48.27 per hour, based on experience\n

Additional $3.00 per hour for weekend shift (Sat / Sun)\n

See a comprehensive list of benefits here.\n\nDETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION\n\nAssesses the patient's condition and nursing needs, sets goals, and prescribes appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals and the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative patient needs, including discharge planning.\n\nAssesses, intervenes, and reassesses the patient's self-report and symptoms of pain promptly. Utilizes an appropriate tool for assessment and reassessment (0-10 numerical scale, FACES, or the FLACC.)\n\nDemonstrates an understanding of medications regarding action and side effects. Reports pertinent information to the appropriate individual. Educates patients and significant others about their medications.\n\nDemonstrates the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions in accomplishing goals and intended patient care outcomes.\n\nMaintain the standards of nursing care and implement the policies and procedures of the hospital and assigned nursing unit.\n\nParticipates in meetings, in-services, and quality and performance improvement groups. Understands the attendance and punctuality guidelines, and adherence to the dress code.\n\nReports pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to the appropriate person and records those observations accurately and concisely.\n\nProvides quality patient care and works with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the highest patient satisfaction.\n\nMay complete unit / department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\nMissouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.\n\nOne (1) year of RN experience.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\nAdditional license / certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\n\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs.\n\nThis role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
