Aquatics Facility Supervisor
Schedule / Hours : 5 days per week, including Saturday
This position is responsible for :
Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of those using the aquatics facilities of The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center; provides constant surveillance of pool activities; observes swimmers, and enforces regulations in the guarding of life and the prevention of accidents; maintains the cleanliness of the pool and pool area; monitors and controls the chemical levels of pool water ensuring proper levels are maintained at all times; prepares pool records accurately and completely.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintains constant surveillance of members, guests, and visitors of the aquatic facility, acts immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of the same in the event of an emergency.
- Provides emergency lifesaving assistance to troubled or drowning swimmers; performs lifesaving CPR and first aid in accordance with certified practices
- Maintains the cleanliness of the pool water; vacuums pool; scrubs walls, back washes filter system, tests the pool water as scheduled in order to maintain the correct chemical balance of the pool water
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Moderate amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, bending, twisting, and carrying light to moderately objects (up to 50 lbs.) occasionally.Work is performed in an outdoor pool environment where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomfort associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.Employee Benefits :

What We Are Looking For In You :
Education :
High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred ANDNo formal experience required, ORAny equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Licenses and Certifications :
