Key Responsibilities :

Data Governance

• Provide strategic oversight and direction for the TDOE Data Governance Program, ensuring alignment with departmental and state-wide data priorities.
• Develop and execute the departments annual data governance plan, establishing clear priorities, implementation timelines, and measurable outcomes.
• Lead biweekly Data Collab meetings with departmental data leads to enhance cross-functional collaboration, formalize policies and processes, and optimize departmental data structures.
• Direct department-wide data documentation initiatives, ensuring comprehensive internal technical documentation and user-friendly external data guides for publicly released datasets.
• Spearhead efforts to streamline academics legislatively mandated reporting by proactively identifying recurring data needs, developing requirements for dashboards, and reducing ad-hoc data requests.
• Oversee and facilitate cross-functional working groups to address and resolve complex data governance challenges, including coordination, decision-making, leadership engagement, and implementation follow-up.
• Support department-wide transition efforts from EIS to TEDS data systems, providing guidance and support to internal users.

Data Request Fulfillment

Minimum Qualifications :

Education and Experience : Possession of a master's degree in education, education administration or other related field and substantial educational work experience (5 or more years) including 3 years of education administration or supervisory work.
