Shift : Day Shift | 3x12-Hour (07 : 00 – 19 : 30) | Every other weekend required
Job Responsibilities and All Required and Preferred Skills and Requirements :
Provide pediatric nursing care for patients ranging from neonates to adolescents (ages 0–17) in a 26-bed unit with a high patient turnover (4–26 admissions daily).Care for general med / surg pediatric patients including respiratory, surgical, neurological, infectious conditions, and eating disorder cases.Assigned to an epilepsy monitoring unit (4 designated beds).Must float to NICU, PICU, and Eating Disorder Unit after a 6-hour orientation.No CNA support; RN staff only.Patient ratio : 1 : 4 (Days, Nights, Weekends).Self-scheduling; 4-week schedules released 2–3 weeks in advance.Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).Requirements :
Licensure : Active California RN license (no pending or temporary).Experience : Minimum 2 years recent pediatric RN experience; 3+ years preferred. First-time travelers not accepted.Certifications (Required) : BLS, PALSCharting System : EPICTravel Experience : RequiredFloat Experience : RequiredReferences : 2 recent (within 1 year), supervisor-level references requiredSkills (Required) :
IV therapy / phlebotomyAdministration of medications including emergency medsStarting / maintaining IVsPediatric dosage calculationsPreferred Skills :
