Job Summary

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a crucial role in providing resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting. You will assist residents with daily living activities while ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met, all under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN).

Key Responsibilities Include :

Deliver compassionate care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.

Monitor and document vital signs and residents' responses to care.

Assist with mobility, ensuring safe transfers and walking techniques.

Support residents during mealtimes and contribute to a positive dining experience.

Communicate changes in residents' health conditions to nursing staff.

Maintain cleanliness in living areas and assist with housekeeping duties.

Encourage participation in wellness and recreational programs.

Participate in department committees as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Must be at least 16 years old. Previous experience in long-term care is a plus.

CNA certification required within four months of starting, with training provided by the facility.

Annual completion of competency testing and 12 hours of continuing education is required.

If applicable, must be registered as an Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP).
