We have opportunities for Medical Laboratory Scientist in Microbiology, and Generalist roles at various locations in Rockingham, Alamance, Randolph, and Guilford Counties . Positions are available on both full-time , part-time schedules, as well as PRN roles to offer flexibility to fit your lifestyle. You'll have the chance to choose from a variety of shift options, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, 7 on 7 off, Weekend Option (WEO), and weekday schedules.

The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for performing, analyzing, and releasing laboratory tests on specimens to ensure accurate and reliable results by adhering to established policies and procedures. Working under direct supervision, this role is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining complex instrumentation, prioritizing workload to meet turnaround times, and staying updated on competencies and regulatory standards. The Medical Laboratory Scientist plays a crucial role in delivering accurate and timely diagnostic information that supports patient care and treatment decisions.

EDUCATION :

Required : Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science.

EXPERIENCE :

Preferred : Six months experience as a technical generalist

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRY / LISTING :

Required : Must have Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Specialist in Blood Bank (SBB) or Technologist in Blood Banking (BB) or Technologist in Chemistry (C) or Technologist in Hematology (H) or Technologist in Microbiology (M) or Specialist in Microbiology (SM) by ASCP
