Job Description : \nThe Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.\n\nRNs at Intermountain Healthcare are committed to providing patient centered care while demonstrating our values and mission. Our team specializes in providing patient-centered, trauma-informed care to patients that present with concerns for physical abuse, sexual abuse, and medical neglect to the Children's Justice Center. Our nurses assist with examination and evidence collection. Nursing coverage is PRN. Will need to arrive and report to location within 1 hour once calls come in.\n\nNurses on our team will assist our advanced practitioners with patient examinations in the clinical setting. The nurse and advance practitioner will work closely with Primary Children's medical team as well as the local Children's Justice Center Multidisciplinary Team. Applicants should have superior assessment skills, be able to work independently and as a team, and possess excellent critical thinking skills.\n\nPosting Specifics : \n\nBenefits Eligible : NO\n\nShift Details : 4 hrs a week as needed. No benefits. Will need to arrive and report to location within 1 hour once calls come in.\n\nLocation : This position will work in the Carbon County / Price area.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nCurrent RN License in state of practice.\n- and -\nBasic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.\n- and -\nAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nOne or more years of RN experience\n\nPediatric RN work experience\nBachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.\n\nPhysical Requirements : \n\nOngoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.\n- and -\nFrequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.\n- and -\nManual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.\n- and -\nExpected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.\n- and -\nNeed to walk and assist with transporting / ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing / pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).\n- and -\nMay be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.\n\nLocation : \nCarbon County Children's Justice Center\n\nWork City : \nPrice\n\nWork State : \nUtah\n\nScheduled Weekly Hours : \n4\n\nThe hourly range for this position is listed below.
