About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse – ICU

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : ICU

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12 Hour Nights

Hours per Shift : 48

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel experience is preferred.

License : Registered Nurse (RN)

Certifications : Required certifications include : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC.

Must-Have :

Travelers must live 100 miles away from any facility.

Travelers must have prior travel assignment experience.

Description :

This is a mixed unit with complex ICU patients.

Patient types include surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma.

The patient ratio is typically RN : 1 : 1, 1 : 2, or 1 : 3 depending on acuity.

Experience with complex ICU patients is required.

Candidates should have a strong background in critical care with comfort in fast-paced settings.

Experience with IV medications, hemodynamic lines, ventilator management, and telemetry is necessary.

Preferred experience includes CABG / TAVR and knowledge of Impella, IABP, and CRRT.

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills are essential.

Team collaboration in a critical care environment is important.

Candidates may float to other adult floors based on staffing needs.

Weekend rotation as scheduled is required.

Time off must accommodate a full 13-week contract.

There will be no requests for time off during designated peak times.
