Following the continued success of Tetra Tech in Ireland having secured a variety of new and interesting brownfield regeneration, ground investigation and hydrogeological frameworks and projects we are looking for a Senior Geo Environmental Consultant to join our team based in Gorey, Wexford.

Responsibilities

  • You will liaise directly with clients and stakeholders and contribute to the growth of the company profile.
  • Plan, manage and supervise ground investigation on site, including groundwater and ground gas monitoring, and interpret data.
  • Author and review factual and interpretive geotechnical reports; produce Phase 1 desk top studies and Phase 2 interpretative reports including qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with current contaminated land technical guidance and development planning regime.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health, safety and environmental management; demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess a full, preferably clean, driving license.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member with strong social, interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in geology, engineering geology, hydrogeology or a relevant environmental science discipline. A Master's degree is beneficial.
  • Working towards Chartership with a relevant body (e.g., CIWEM, IEMA, or Geo Soc).
  • Postgraduate industry experience preferred.
  • Understanding of contaminated land technical guidance and development planning regime.
  • Between 5 to 10 years consultancy experience in delivery of ground investigation works.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fully IT literate; ability to write clear, concise, technically robust reports.
  • Health, safety and environmental management awareness.
  • Good driving license.
  • Team player with strong social and communication skills.
