Department of Physics and Astronomy
The Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites applications for a full-time, one-year, non-tenure-track lecturer position starting January 1, 2026. The position’s responsibility will be teaching introductory or intermediate-level physics courses for non-majors and physics majors. This non-tenure-track position comes with full benefits.

Qualifications :
Qualified applicants will hold a Master's or Ph.D. (preferred) degree in Physics or closely related field awarded no later than January 1, 2026. The successful candidate will have experience teaching introductory or intermediate level physics courses. The candidate should be able to work collaboratively with other faculty members in the department and with Graduate Teaching Assistants who serve as laboratory instructors. The ideal candidate will have experience with online teaching platforms such as Blackboard or Canvas. The candidate should also have excellent communication skills and be able to engage students in vibrant discussions.
