Overview

Editor & Social Media role at General Council of the Assemblies of God. Edits for all print products. Edits for AGWM web sites and social media sites. Edits social media for AGWM Executive Director and Communications Lead. Edits WorldView magazine and editorial for AGWM Communications. Interview the AGWM Executive Committee Members and taking the information gathered to create articles for each region for various places. Work closely with AGWM Leadership to protect all messaging from political overtones or confidential details of sensitive ministry assignments. Contribute and edit content and editorial for WorldView magazine and AGWM Communications publications. Assists AGWM Executive Director with communications, including such items as the monthly RPTS, contributor letters, and other communications. Assists AGWM Advancement Director with missions support communications. Maintain social media sites for the AGWM Executive Director and Communications Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Edits for AGWM web sites and social media; edits social media for AGWM Executive Director and Communications Lead.
  • Edit WorldView magazine and AGWM Communications publications.
  • Interview AGWM Executive Committee Members and create region-specific articles from gathered information.
  • Collaborate with AGWM Leadership to ensure messaging is appropriate and does not include political overtones or confidential details of sensitive ministry assignments.
  • Contribute to and edit content for WorldView magazine and AGWM Communications.
  • Assist AGWM Executive Director with communications (e.g., monthly RPTS, contributor letters, and other items).
  • Assist AGWM Advancement Director with missions support communications.
  • Maintain social media sites for the AGWM Executive Director and Communications Lead.

Qualifications

  • College degree in communications and social media or marketing preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in communications or social media.
  • Typing 45 WPM.
  • Proficient with personal computers.
  • General office skills.
  • Customer service.
