EHS Coordinator
The EH&S Coordinator reports to the EH&S Manager and provides day-to-day support for the Environmental, Health and Safety programs. The EHS Coordinator engages with operation teams, helps manage incident reports, OSHA recordkeeping, Hazardous Waste Disposal documentation, compliance records, training records and ensures policies and procedures are consistently followed across operations. This position works closely with the EHS Specialist and EHS Manager to maintain a safe, compliant workplace while gaining hands-on experience with regulatory requirements specific to the pharmaceutical industry.

Essential Functions :
Program Support
Assist the EHS team in implementing and maintaining safety programs.Perform routine safety inspections and report findings to the EHS team for corrective actions.Assists with the creation of Work Requests to ensure corrective actions are implemented.Support and participate in Safety Committee, employee safety engagement programs, and safety culture initiatives.Ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are updated and accessible to employees.Assists with SOP job hazard analyses (JHAs) and ergonomic evaluations.Compliance and Documentation
Assist in maintaining compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, DEA, cGMP and state / local safety requirements including maintaining EHS records, logs, and documentation in compliance with regulation requirements.Maintains the Safety Corrective Action Tracker to ensure corrective actions are track to completion and implementation.Maintain Incident Tracker by uploading incident report informationProvides support and documentation required for safety inspections, Gemba walks, audits and inspections by regulatory agencies and internal teams.Environmental Management
Assist with hazardous waste labeling, accumulation, storage, and shipment in compliance with RCRA and DOT requirements.Support chemical inventory management (flammables, corrosives, controlled substances).Conduct weekly / monthly inspections of satellite accumulation areas, eyewash stations, and emergency showers.Participate in sustainability and waste minimization initiatives.Training & Communication
Assist in coordinating EHS training sessions.Maintain training records and help ensure all staff remain current on required EH&S modules.Maintains the Safety Training Matrix; coordinate scheduling and logistics for required EHS training sessions and maintain training records.Promote a strong safety culture through reminders, postings, and ongoing communication with staff.Incident Response and Reporting
Serve as an initial responder to safety incidents, spills, or near misses; escalate to EHS Specialist and / or EHS Manager as required.Assist supervisors with initial incident reports and with incident investigations by gathering statements, photos, and documentation; assist in documenting findings and corrective actions.Help coordinate emergency preparedness activitiesSupport the Emergency Response Team (ERT) with administration of basic first aid, roll call list updates, drills, equipment inspections, and coordination.Other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities :
N / AExperience and Necessary Competencies :
Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Life Sciences, or related field and / or equivalent experience.0–2 years of EHS, quality, or compliance experience; pharmaceutical, biotech, or food manufacturing environment preferred or prior exposure to manufacturing or laboratory environment preferred.Basic knowledge of OSHA and / or EPA; familiarity with cGMP or pharmaceutical operations a plusStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with cross-functional teams.Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.Willingness to learn & grow in a regulated environment.Understanding of 503B regulatory requirements, cGMP standards, and USP guidelines is a plus!Proficient written, verbal and oral English communication skills are required.Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, Microsoft, and Excel.Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds periodically.Ability to maintain a gowning qualification and work in a cleanroom environment.Ability to regularly use of PPE including, face shields, safety glasses or goggles, gloves, lab coats, gowns, aprons, safety shoes and respirators (as required).Exposure to hazardous chemicals, potent compounds, and controlled substances with proper controls.Benefits :
