Nurse Manager – Critical Care (ICU & PCU)

Location : Sanford, FL

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM, flexibility required; 24 / 7 availability to respond to calls

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Manager to provide leadership for our Critical Care services, overseeing both ICU and PCU units. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for staff and patients alike.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide 24-hour leadership and accountability for assigned units, ensuring nursing practices meet all legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards
• Promote an interdisciplinary approach to patient care, collaborating with physicians, case managers, and allied health professionals
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction
• Oversee effective coordination of care, equipment readiness, and adequate staffing
• Maintain a patient-centered focus, ensuring communication with patients and families is clear, compassionate, and timely
• Support effective discharge planning and community resource connections
• Ensure best practices in pain management are consistently applied
