job_description.job_card.job_descriptionInstalls, repairs, and maintains pipe systems, drains, ducts, and related fittings and fixtures for water, sewage, and drainage in plumbing systems Reads blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of water supply, waste disposal, and material needed Installs gas appliances, dishwashers and water heaters, sinks and toilets, measures, cuts, bends, and threads pipes using hand and power tools or machines Detects faults in plumbing appliances and systems and diagnoses their causes Other duties upon request Operator Qualified 86 – 87 Full Gas Work Qualification Card Required S12 – S13 Certificates Required F60 – G60 Certificates Required Experience with and knowledge of backflow, boilers, and pumps Must have a valid and clean driver's license to operate company vehicles Certified backflow tester a plus Must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis Prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching on a daily basis Requires a full range of physical motion in order to operate manual and electrically-powered tools and plumbing equipment Must be able to climb stairs frequently Work is performed indoors and out-of-doors, occasionally in environments that are dusty, noisy, or which could have work hazards Must operate company van
