Skilled Plumber
Reports To : Maintenance Foreman / Energy Management Specialist
Job Summary
Performs skilled Journeyman level work in the installation, maintenance and repair of water, waste disposal and gas. Work is performed independently under general direction and reviewed upon completion for conformity to established specifications and accepted standards and procedures of the plumbing trade.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Education And / Or Experience : Graduation from high school or possession of a GED, plus four (4) years' experience in the plumbing trade, performing most of the above mentioned duties and responsibilities. The successful completion of up to four (4) years of verifiable formal training in the trade (vocational, military, or indentured apprentice school) may be substituted for a like amount of the experience requirement. Hold a valid Alabama driver's license (Class A CDL may be required) and a Journeyman level license. Subject to drug test as required by law and school board policy and for operating school owned vehicles.
Language Skills : Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Ability to communicate orally, politely and respectfully to others. Proficiency in technology and computer programs.

Standing for more than two hours at a time
Stooping and bending
Ability to reach and grasp objects
Manual dexterity or fine motor skills
Color vision, the ability to identify and distinguish colors

Ability to climb and work from ladders or man lifts.
Operating automobile, vehicle or van

Work Environment
Working in an area that is very uncomfortable due to extreme temperature, noise levels or other conditions
Working with equipment or performing procedures where carelessness would probably result in minor cuts, bruises or muscle pulls
