Golf Shop Retail Merchandise Assistant

Assist with all activities relating to the sale, purchase, display and quality of the goods and merchandise of the Golf Shop. An individual in this position will also be accountable for ensuring product knowledge throughout the team. She / he will work closely with the golf staff to provide the highest standards of excellence for member and guest enjoyment.

Essential Functions

• Welcoming and engaging with customers as they enter the store.
• Maintain a positive attitude with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
• Working with cash registers and processing sales.
• Maintain a pristine shop appearance by organizing and straightening merchandising displays.
• Stay abreast and up to date with knowledge as it relates to product awareness.
• Use of computer within the department or job area. Use of Microsoft office programs when needed : Publisher, Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook.
• Establish an environment so members and guests have a pleasant and satisfying shopping experience.
• Create interesting and visually pleasing displays.
• Perform ordering, receiving, pricing, display and sales tasks.
• Administer special orders.
• Assistant other lead retail merchandiser with inventory.
• Promote teamwork, professionalism and camaraderie towards all employees.
• Answer phones and direct members / customers.
• Perform administrative functions as needed.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by management.
