job_description.job_card.job_descriptionSelf-Scheduling that helps with work / life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Mother friendly designated, Texas 10-Step designated, Level III Maternal designated, Team Birth facility, and Magnet designated facility Our team is like a family with a newly renovated Mother / Baby, couplet care unit with 26-beds Average between 275-285 deliveries per month in a fast-paced couplet care unit Part of the CHAMPS national initiative for breastfeeding education Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma BSN is preferred RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required One-year (1) Year Experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program Required One year or more of Maternal / Newborn, Mother / Baby, Couplet Care RN experience strongly preferred BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety / infection control measures into patient care. Initiates action to meet patient and / or significant others need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
