Registered Nurse – NICU

Facility : Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital (Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare MSP)

Location : 848 Adams Ave, Memphis, TN 38103

Start Date : October 20, 2025 (also openings starting November 3, 2025)

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day 3x12-Hour (07 : 00 - 19 : 00)

Schedule : 3x12-hour shifts / week (typical, as per travel standard)

Position Overview

Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for night shifts. Candidates must have strict NICU Level IV experience, with care responsibilities including well babies and attending deliveries as the resuscitation nurse. The hospital is a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and requires strict compliance with experience and licensing guidelines. Weekend shifts are required as needed, with block schedule accommodations possible upon discussion.

Certifications & Requirements

  • RN License : Active Tennessee RN license or Compact License – Required
  • Experience : Minimum 2 years NICU Level IV experience – strict
  • First-time travelers accepted only if they have 3+ years total nursing experience
  • BSN : Preferred but not required
  • Flu Vaccine : Required, no exemptions
  • COVID-19 Vaccine : Not required
  • Pending licenses not accepted
  • RTO (Request Time Off) : Must be included at submission, with holiday work requirements

    • Skills & Competencies

  • Care of critically ill neonates including Level IV NICU care
  • Attend deliveries and provide neonatal resuscitation
  • Ability to float between similar units within 20 miles if needed
  • Strong clinical and critical care skills in neonatal nursing
  • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

  • Weekend Coverage : As needed
  • Floating : Allowed between like units within 20 miles

    • Additional Notes

  • Local candidates within 100 miles not accepted
  • Travelers must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if those fall during assignment
