Production Control Specialist / Scheduler (Manufacturing Plant Floor)

Summary :

The Production Control Specialist / Scheduler works closely with the quality, engineering, and purchasing departments to ensure all manufacturing activities are started and completed on time, of acceptable quality, with minimal cost and waste. They are responsible for maintaining the schedule for production through internal work orders that is driven by the sales order schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Provides the facility and internal customers with an accurate schedule and work orders to be processed.
• Create, communicate, and accomplish daily department tasks and schedule.
• Works daily on the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) report in the ERP system for supply / demand shortages on internal work orders.
• Manages the work order release queue to release orders on schedule.
• Communicate with other departments on shortages, errors, and / or accuracy of part's demands until resolved.
• Assists other departments with work order inquiries and requests.
• Keeps WOs and associated documentation with each part throughout the manufacturing process and provide documentation to their internal customer.
• Retain part traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
• Follow safety protocols, identify and communicate any possible safety concerns.
• Comprehend and work to the requirements of applicable department and company work instructions and operating procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Background and Drug test required

Job is onsite, Monday-Friday | 7am-330pm

Salary : 50k-55k dependent upon experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to telephone, mouse, and keyboard.
